Dress Regulations -
Not permitted at any time :
Ladies attire - no bare feet, flat shoes without straps, hair rollers, curlers etc, very brief shorts, see through blouses, singlet tops, bike pants, apparel with crude or offensive signage or motif.
Men’s attire - no bare feet, slippers, headwear, boardshorts, football type shorts, singlet tops, apparel with crude or offensive signage or motif.
At all times patrons are to be presented in clean and tidy apparel. Management may refuse to admit anyone who fails to meet these standards, this decision is final.
Responsible conduct of Gaming
Wallsend Bowling Club has adopted an approach where the environment in
which Gambling is conducted minimizes harm and meets community
expectations.
Wallsend Bowling Club aims to achieve a harm minimization
objective in their gaming operations by;
• Providing gaming services that confirm to all applicable Acts and
Regulations.
• Promoting responsible gaming practices that conform to local
community standards.
• Establishing a pleasant and safe gaming environment.
• Establishing a patron complaint resolution process.
• Implementing policies that encourage responsible practices in
advertising and promotions related to gaming , and ensure compliance
with relevant legislation.
• Develop a policy that ensures all legislative requirements related to
cheque cashing, payment of winnings, and financial transactions are
implemented and encourages patrons to develop responsible practices
in the use of finances for gaming purposes.
• Ensuring personal information relating to gaming patrons is kept strictly
private.
• Ensure staff are kept up to date in relation to legislative requirements,
adopting current harm minimisation strategies, and taking appropriate
steps to promote patron and employee care.
• Advise patrons of self exclusion procedures or other responsible
mechanisms.
• Keeping patrons and staff informed of the Club’s responsible gaming
policies, the nature of gaming products, and the availability of support
services for problem gamblers.
• Develop links between the Club and relevant community organizations
that will provide support and advice for problem gamblers and their
families.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
We will demonstrate our commitment to the responsible service of alcohol by :
• Providing approved training of management and staff in the responsible serving of alcohol.
• Refusing to serve alcohol to persons who are obviously or visibly affected by alcohol.
• Only employing staff who hold the responsible service of alcohol certificate.
• Avoiding the promotion of alcohol in a way that could encourage minors to seek to purchase or to consume alcohol .
• Avoiding the promotion of alcohol in a way that could encourage the excessive consumption of alcohol.
• Refusing the service of alcohol to underage persons , and ensuring that presentation of proof of age and other approved forms of identification before providing service to person’s we suspect of being minors.
• Informing Club patrons of their responsibility under the law in respect of the supply of alcohol to minors , and intoxicated persons.
• Not supporting any pricing practice which encourages the excessive consumption of alcohol.
Privacy Policy
Wallsend bowling Club is subject to the provisions of the privacy Act 1988. The Act
contains 10 national Privacy Principles that set standards for the handling of personal
information. The Club has a commitment to privacy and the safeguarding of member,
visitor and staff personal information.
Any personal information provided by you to the Club ( e.g. name, address, date of
birth, and contact details), including information collected as a result of a membership
card being placed in a gaming machine, or other Club machine, that is linked to a club
loyalty system (not ATM) that may provide a benefit or service to you, will be
protected.
The Club does not usually disclose your personal information to any other organization
or person unless there is a legal requirement to do so. The Club may also disclose
personal information to relevant authorities if it is reasonable to believe there is a threat
to an individual’s life, health, or safety. If the Club has reason to suspect that unlawful
activity has been, is being or may be engaged in, personal information may be used or
disclosed as a necessary part of any investigation and reporting to relevant persons and
authorities.
The Club may disclose your information to third parties that provide services under
contract to the Club. These contracts require a third party to keep your personal
information confidential and secure.
Your personal information, including information about you obtained as a result of
placing your membership card into a gaming or other club machine ( not ATM ) , may
be used for marketing purposes to improve our services and to provide you with the
latest information about those services and any new related services or promotions.
If you do not wish to receive information about services and promotions the Club, on
request, will remove your name from mailing lists.
You have the right to access any personal information that the Club may hold about you,
including a right of correction of your information.
